About Lawnmower Place
In 2003, Henry and Lesley Oppel became the new owners of Lawnmower Place in Uvongo which has been trading continuously for approximately four decades (40 years). During 2004, the owners made a decision to apply for a Stihl ‘A’ Dealership and were awarded the exclusive dealership. This was an important step that proved to be instrumental in the fantastic growth that the company has experienced and building a reputation of expertise, trust and reliability.
In 2013, Nestor Mbili joined the company as a Shareholder and has vast experience in the Lawnmower business for almost 12 years. The company prides itself in sending their mechanics on regular mechanical training. Lawnmower Place has proved to be a reliable service provider to the private individuals, businesses, government departments and municipalities as a true specialist in Lawnmowers and outdoor power solutions.
Every second year, STIHL holds a competition among it’s a dealers countrywide, breaking up about 150 shops into eight groups. The shops within each group compete with each other and based on performance, the top shop within the individual groups win a STIHL factory tour to Germany and Switzerland. Lawnmower Place has won this coveted prize three times.
In support of the industry and a wide range of products, the company also stocks a wide range of spare parts for all the major manufactures. Lawnmower Place has maintained a reputation of fast and expedient turn around on service and repairs.
Well before the country experienced energy crisis and rolling blackouts, Lawnmower Place had dedicated themselves to the supply and service of Petrol and diesel generators as well as camping generators.
Because of the tremendous support received from the South Coast community, management can only attribute this to our staff’s commitment for excellent service and meeting our customer’s requirements.

We also offer pick up deliveries on machines at a cost depending on the area and we provide Secure on-site parking to our customers to ensure piece of mind.
